All orders ship for a standard rate of $4.95 via USPS priority. FREE shipping on all US orders of $100 or more! Orders ship out within 1-3 business days and can take anywhere from 2-7 business days to arrive depending on location and package size. Tracking comes with ALL orders and will be emailed the day of ship if e-mail is provided. If you do not receive a tracking number within 5 business days of ordering, please e-mail us to check on order status.

What shipping method does Planethobbywood.com use?

Planethobbywood.com uses USPS & FEDEX as the primary carrier for most small items. Should you require faster service, USPS Seconday Day Ground (2 business days) or USPS Next Day Air (1 business day) are available at an extra cost. All large items (over 70lbs) are shipped via Truck.

When will I get my package?

PROCESSING TIME:
Your order is thoroughly reviewed by our Credit Card Department to ensure that the order is accurate, the payment method is valid, and you are authorized to use this payment method. Once your order has passed the rigorous review by our Credit Card Department, it is sent to our warehouse for shipment. Please note, credit card processing can take up to 3 business days (Depending on the accuracy of the information given to us by the customer.). Further, for security reasons, voice confirmation may be required before we can process your credit card for payment. If the item(s) on your order are in-stock, we will ship them as soon as possible from our main Naperville, Illinois warehouse or from one of our Distribution Warehouses located throughout the United States. If the item(s) on your order are out of stock, they will not be shipped until we have received and processed the backordered inventory in our warehouse.

Returning or Exchanging Items

You can return or exchange purchases from Planethobbywood or Planethobbywood Store by mail or at any of our retail locations, regardless of whether you made your purchase online, by phone or in an PlanetHobbywood Store.

You must have a proof of purchase (store receipt, gift receipt, shipping invoice, or member purchase history) for all returns and exchanges.

Since quantities may be limited, you can expedite an exchange by placing a new order and returning the unwanted merchandise.

Used items must be cleaned for a return or exchange. If you send merchandise that is not cleaned or laundered to the Planethobbywood Returns Department, it will be returned at your expense.

PLANETHOOBBYWOOD  items go out of stock quickly. As a result, we may not be able to make requested exchanges. If this is the case, we will refund your form of payment for the purchase amount.

 

Returns and Exchanges by Mail

If you return or exchange a product by mail, we recommend that you ship your package with a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance. REI is not responsible for packages lost in transit without proof of tracking.

If a customer returns merchandise that does not meet conditions of the 100% Satisfaction Guarantee, it will be sent back to the customer at their expense.

To return or exchange an order by mail:

  • Ship your package with a carrier that can provide tracking and insurance.

Damaged Merchandise

Upon receiving your order, please inspect the delivered products immediately with respect to possible damages caused during transportation. Any noticeable physical damage to the package must be immediately reported to the shipping carrier on-site. It is important to keep the outer package, packing material, paperwork, and parts intact, as the carrier may want to inspect it before processing a claim. Please do not return damaged-in-transit merchandise without authorization, as this could jeopardize the claim and keep you from receiving a refund or replacement.

If damaged items are not reported within 5 business days of receiving the package, the order shall be deemed approved and received by the purchaser. We cannot accept claims of shipping damage any later than 5 days from receipt of package.

Lost Packages

Please check the estimated delivery period for your location and the type of shipping method you selected. If you have not received your order and the estimated delivery period has elapsed, please contact us. If you chose a shipping method that does not provide tracking and you did not purchase shipping insurance, you are accepting the risk of loss in transit. For Canada Post shipments, we can only initiate a trace for a lost package once 45 days have passed since the order shipped. Credit or replacement will be issued when we obtain the claim number from the carrier.

Defective or Missing Merchandise

If you find your order to be defective or missing parts, please contact us within 30 days of the ship date for instructions on how to proceed. We will determine whether the warranty will be handled by us or through the manufacturer directly. Most products of a technical nature are warranted by the manufacturer and you must contact them directly for repair or replacement. We will be happy to assist you in determining how you will need to proceed.
